A sampler CD featuring two dozen Americana artists arrived in stores Tuesday (Aug. 3), with a retail price of $1.98. Featured performers on the sampler, titled This Is Americana, include Rosanne Cash with Johnny Cash, Slaid Cleaves, the Jayhawks, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Jim Lauderdale, Shelby Lynne, Willie Nelson and Ray Price, the Notorious Cherry Bombs, Ralph Stanley and Lucinda Williams. Several of the tracks are from albums that have not yet been released.
