Jackson Signs Nephew’s Duo to His Label

Alan Jackson has signed the Wrights — comprised of his nephew Adam Wright and Adam’s wife Shannon — to his own record label imprint. ACR (Alan’s Country Records) is an independent label being launched in partnership with RCA Records Nashville. The Wrights expect to release their first single this fall, with an album to follow in early 2005. They wrote all 12 cuts on their debut album, which was co-produced by Keith Stegall and John Kelton. The duo also wrote two songs on Jackson’s What I Do album, arriving in stores Tuesday (Sept. 7).
