CMT Invites Public to Free Television Taping on Sept. 7 Featuring the 'CMT Outlaws'

Concert Features Hank Williams Jr., Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, Tanya Tucker, Jessi Colter , Shooter Jennings and members of Metallica and Lynyrd Skynyrd

CMT turns up the heat with a no-holds-barred CMT Outlaws television taping on Tuesday (Sept. 7) at Nashville's Gaylord Entertainment Center. The public is invited to the free taping as CMT bows to music's revolutionaries who make their music according to their own rules. The landmark CMT Outlaws event will premiere as part of an exclusive two-part special on Friday, Oct. 29 on CMT.

The CMT Outlaws television taping features performances by some of music's most untamed and unpredictable artists. CMT brings together a once-in-a-lifetime lineup of stars including Hank Williams Jr., Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry, Big & Rich, Tanya Tucker, Jessi Colter, Shooter Jennings, Metallica's James Hetfield and members of Lynyrd Skynyrd -- Gary Rossington, Billy Powell and Johnny Van Zant.

The CMT Outlaws concert was originally scheduled to be performed before an invitation-only audience in front of the former Tennessee State Prison in Nashville. After rain was forecast for Middle Tennessee in the aftermath of Hurricane Frances, the event was moved downtown to the Gaylord Entertainment Center and opened to the public as a free concert.

Doors will open for general admission seating (first-come, first-served) at 6 p.m. CT at the Gaylord Entertainment Center. The taping begins at 7:30 p.m. CT. Individuals who have received an invitation may call 615-335-8267 for information.
