Scruggs Completes Hall of Fame Residency

Earl Scruggs performed his fourth and final concert as the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s artist in residence during a Thursday night (Sept. 29) at the museum’s Ford Theater in downtown Nashville. After the intermission, Scruggs played several songs on Mother Maybelle Carter’s historic guitar before inviting Charlie Daniels to sit in with his band. Other artists who participated in previous concerts during the residency include Travis Tritt, Cowboy Jack Clement, Larry Cordle, Marty Stuart, Jerry Douglas, Mac Wiseman, Kris Kristofferson, Dan Tyminski, Connie Smith, Vince Gill, Jeff Hanna, Matraca Berg, Jessi Alexander, Sam Bush, Rodney Crowell and Buck, Sharon and Cheryl White.
