Chesney, Keith, Wilson Win AMA Awards

Kenny Chesney won the fan-voted artist of the year award at the American Music Awards on Sunday night (Nov. 14) in Los Angeles. The victory marked Chesney’s first AMA win, beating out Usher, Outkast, Norah Jones and Evanescence. Toby Keith won two trophies — for favorite male artist and album in the country categories — Reba McEntire won for favorite female country artist and Brooks & Dunn won for favorite country band, duo or group. Gretchen Wilson captured the breakthrough favorite new artist award, edging out Kanye West and Maroon 5.
