Shania Twain Leads Holiday Sales for Country CDs

With an 11 percent gain of 347,000 CDs during the last week of 2004 according to Nielsen SoundScan, Shania Twain's Greatest Hits easily finishes the year as the top-selling country CD for the week. Toby Keith's Greatest Hits 2, with a sales jump of 289,000 copies, was runner-up to Twain. Other country albums with significant sales jumps for the week included Tim McGraw's Live Like You Were Dying (253,000), Gretchen Wilson's Here for the Party (216,000) and George Strait's 50 Number Ones (213,000).
