Toby Keith Visits “Honky-Tonk U”

Toby Keith was in a Nashville studio Wednesday night (Jan. 19) to record what’s expected to be the first single from his new album. Keith told CMT News he recently wrote “Honky Tonk U” to reflect the education he gained from his grandmother (who gave him his first guitar) and his early work in a variety honky-tonks (including his grandmother’s supper club in Oklahoma). The title and release date of his new album have not been announced. Keith’s tour with rocker Ted Nugent kicks off Thursday (Jan. 20) in Tulsa, Okla.
