The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is partnering with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to present a country music festival next year at the center in Washington. Emmylou Harris and Vince Gill will serve as honorary co-chairs of the festival set for March 23-April 16, 2006. Details regarding the festival’s performers and events have not been announced, although activities will emphasize the roots of country music and its regional and stylistic variations.
