Nashville Palace Closes After 31 Years

The Nashville Palace, the tourist-friendly music club across from the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, closed for business on Sunday night (March 6) after being sold by its owners. The club had been operating since 1974 and is best known as the venue where Warner Bros. Records executives discovered Randy Travis while he was employed there as a dishwasher. The Music Valley Wax Museum, which is near the Nashville Palace, also closed for business over the weekend.
