Kenny Chesney played to a crowd of approximately 70,000 Wednesday night (March 9) at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, but an ankle injury has forced him to again delay the opening of his Somewhere in the Sun tour. Chesney remained seated on a stool for most of the concert at Houston’s Reliant Arena. He dedicated his hit, “The Good Stuff,” to Chris LeDoux, who died of complications from cancer Wednesday morning. Chesney had already rescheduled the first weekend of his tour after injuring his ankle on a set of stairs. He planned to do the first show with his full stage production next week in Tupelo, Miss., but is taking the extra time off as an added precaution. The tour now kicks off March 23-24 in Green Bay, Wis. In rescheduling next week’s shows, Chesney now hits New Orleans on April 26, Tupelo on May 3 and San Antonio on May 15.
