Randy Travis won his sixth Dove award from the Gospel Music Association on Wednesday night (April 13) in Nashville. Travis’ Passing Through was named country album of the year. Travis has won in that category twice before — with Rise and Shine in 2003 and Worship and Faith in 2004. The Crabb Family’s “Forever” won the Dove for country recorded song. The Isaacs’ “Heroes” was named bluegrass recorded song and the Lewis Family’s Angels Gathering Flowers earned bluegrass album honors.
