Diamond Rio’s Marty Roe and Jimmy Olander are among thousands of registered runners taking part in the Country Music Marathon and half marathon on Saturday (April 30) in Nashville. The 26.2-mile course begins at Centennial Park and ends at the Coliseum, with dozens of bands performing along the route. Julie Roberts, Dierks Bentley and Big & Rich have all played along the course in past years. Roe and Olander are running the half marathon, which follows the same course for the first 11 miles, before veering off near the Bicentennial Mall. Phil Vassar and Bering Strait will perform at the Gaylord Entertainment Center later that night.
