Kid Rock Crashes MuzikMafia Fundraiser

No stranger to popping up around Nashville, Kid Rock joined the MuzikMafia onstage about halfway through a loud, raucous fundraiser at the Cannery on Tuesday night (May 10). Big & Rich opened the show, followed immediately by Gretchen Wilson, who belted out “Redneck Woman” and Heart’s “Straight On.” She also accepted her now-engraved Grammy from earlier this year, informally presented by Big & Rich’s Big Kenny. Later, Kid Rock and Big & Rich energized the audience with a medley of “Cowboy” and “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy.” In addition, Mafia guest Shooter Jennings (son of Waylon) performed “Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way,” and his mom Jessi Colter sang “I’m Not Lisa.” Mafia regulars James Otto, Dean Hall, Max on Sax, Pino Squillace, Adam Schoenfeld, Two-Foot Fred, painter Rachel Kice and the rapper Chance were also on hand for the event that benefited the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI).
