Sony Music Staff to Move Into RCA Building

The staff of Sony Music Nashville will move into the offices of the RCA Label Group in mid-July, following a corporate merger. Sony opened their current office in 1962, buying the property from producers Harold and Owen Bradley. In its previous incarnation as the Quonset Hut studio, artists who recorded on the premises include Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Merle Haggard, Buddy Holly, George Jones and many more. “In the entertainment business, it is safe to say that change is inevitable,” said John Grady, president of Sony Music Nashville. “It has been a privilege to be a small part of such a rich history in this building. Today is bittersweet, but the future is very bright.”
