Bluegrass Musicians Honor Tom T. Hall

A legion of bluegrass musicians gathered Wednesday night (Aug. 17) at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville to honor their friend, Tom T. Hall, in song. Guests included Gary Brewer, Carlene Carter, Pat Flynn, Ryan Holladay, Chris and Sally Jones, James King, Mark Newton, Michelle Nixon, Alecia Nugent, Bobby Osborne, David Peterson, Don Rigsby, Charlie Sizemore, Larry Sparks, Larry Stephenson, the VW Boys, Jeanette Williams, Josh Williams and Paul Williams, among others. Outside of the bluegrass realm, Bobby Bare performed “Margie’s at the Lincoln Park Inn,” and John Prine sang his own song, “Paradise,” which Hall had recorded. Hall’s wife, Dixie, produced the show that was the last of three intimate concerts staged as part of his role as the museum’s artist-in-residence this year.
