Pumpkin Cake

Thanksgiving or autumn treat!

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

3 cups self-rising flour

1 teaspoon allspice

4 teaspoons cinnamon

1 1/2 cups pumpkin

Preheat oven to 350°.

Cream oil and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour with allspice and cinnamon. Add to first mixture and beat. Add pumpkin and beat well. Bake in greased and floured layer pans. Bake in a 350º preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Makes 3 or 4 layers. Cool and ice.

Icing:

1 cup light brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

1 small can condensed milk

1 1/2 stick butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

Cook sugars and milk until sugar melts. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Beat with mixer until thick enough to spread.
