Sour Cream and Noodle Casserole

8 ounce package medium noodles
1 pound lean ground beef
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
dash pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup tomato sauce
1 cup creamed cottage cheese
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup onions (green best)
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 350°.

Cook noodles according to package directions. Rinse and drain. Brown beef in butter. Add salt, pepper, garlic salt and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream and onions with noodles. Alternate layers of noodle mixture and meat mixture beginning with noodles
making two layers of each in a two-quart casserole. Top with grated cheese. Cook in a 350° preheated oven for 25 minutes.
