The Warren Brothers and Hot Apple Pie will join Tim McGraw’s band, the Dancehall Doctors, to provide the music at the inaugural Ya Gotta Believe Gala in New York City. The Nov. 14 event at Gotham Hall will benefit the Tug McGraw Foundation, a nonprofit organization devoted to funding neuro-oncology research to improving the quality of life of those who survive brain tumors. Tug McGraw, the singer’s father who died of a brain tumor in 2004, gained fame as a pitcher for the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies. Tim McGraw, honorary chairman of the gala and the foundation, will attend the event. Sports analyst and commentator Bob Costas will serve as emcee.
