Numerous Country Artists Without Deals

In the wake of mergers and roster reductions, a number of country artists have left their record labels. Following the demise of DreamWorks Nashville, three of its artists — Jessica Andrews, Jimmy Wayne and Darryl Worley — were not absorbed into either MCA Nashville or Mercury Nashville. In addition, Tracy Byrd, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Bobby Pinson and Rachel Proctor are also no longer affiliated with the RCA Label Group, according to the roster listed on the company’s Web site.
