Womack, Hill and Lambert Attend CMA Nominees Reception

Lee Ann Womack and Miranda Lambert, both up for honors Tuesday (Nov. 15) at the 2005 CMA Awards, were among the celebrities attending a private reception for CMA nominees Monday at the historic Gracie Mansion in New York. Others attending the event included Faith Hill, Lorrie Morgan, Two Foot Fred, Billy Currington, Billy Gilman, Randy Scruggs, Jon Randall, Jessi Alexander and Blue County’s Aaron Benward and Scott Reeves. Womack is up for six CMA Awards, including female vocalist, single of the year and album of the year. Lambert is nominated in the Horizon Award category. Overlooking the Hudson River, Gracie Mansion was built in 1799 by a prosperous New York merchant. After changing ownership several times, the city of New York acquired the house and 11 acres of grounds and incorporated it into Carl Schurz Park. View photos from the CMA nominees’ reception.
