James Denton, who plays plumber Mike Delfino on the TV series Desperate Housewives, will host the 2006 Miss America Pageant. The ceremony will take place at the Aladdin Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Jan. 21 and will air live on CMT. In addition, Denton has signed a first look development deal with CMT effective immediately. Denton is a native of Nashville.
