This week's industry synopsis: Joe Nichols scores another No. 1 single, an American Idol returns to the top of the albums chart and Garth Brooks raises the sales total for his new boxed set to 1 million.

After spending several weeks at No. 3, Nichols finally jumped to the No. 1 spot on

Billboard's country singles chart with "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off." Nichols previously hit the top in 2003 with "Brokenheartsville."

Continuing to build on her status as the latest American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood bounces back to the peak of Billboard's country albums chart with Some Hearts. And after being in stores for less than two weeks, Garth Brooks: The Limited Series has now sold more than 1 million copies. However, because the boxed set is only available at Wal-Mart and its Sam's Club stores, the title will not appear on the Billboard charts.

With Underwood taking over on the country albums chart, Kenny Chesney's The Road and the Radio dips slightly to second place while The Legend of Johnny Cash climbs two levels to No. 3. Reba McEntire's Reba #1's slips to No. 4, Rascal Flatts' Feels Like Today climbs to No. 5 and Martina McBride's Timeless ascends to No. 6. With Faith Hill's Fireflies holding steady at No. 7, Big & Rich's Comin' to Your City slides four spaces to No. 8. Trace Adkins' Songs About Me bounces back from No. 13 to No. 9, and Keith Urban's Be Here falls one slot to round out the Top 10.

The only country album debuting this week is the Oak Ridge Boys' latest holiday collection, Christmas Cookies, arriving at No. 73.

Following Nichols on the country singles chart, Dierks Bentley's "Come a Little Closer" moves to No. 2, followed by Chesney's "Who You'd Be Today" at No. 3. Brooks' "Good Ride Cowboy" stays at No. 4 as Billy Currington's "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right" and George Strait's "She Let Herself Go" climb to fifth and six place, respectively. Toby Keith's "Big Blue Note" falls two spaces to No. 7, Underwood's "Jesus, Take the Wheel" climbs three rungs to No. 8. Urban's "Better Life" slips to No. 9, and Hill's "Like We Never Loved at All" remains at No. 10 for a second consecutive week.

LeAnn Rimes scores the highest-debuting country single of the week for the No. 55 entry of "Something's Gotta Give." Lonestar debut at No. 59 with "I'll Die Tryin'," while Jeff Bates shows up at No. 60 with "No Shame."
