David Lee Roth Contributes to Bluegrass Tribute to Van Halen

Former Van Halen lead vocalist David Lee Roth has recorded new versions of "Jump" and "Jamie's Cryin'" for Strummin' With the Devil, a bluegrass tribute to the rock band. Roth, a native of Indiana, recorded the new versions of the Van Halen songs with the John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band. Set for release March 14 on CMH Records, the project also features performances by David Grisman, John Cowan, Larry Cordle, Blue Highway, Mountain Heart and the Nashville Bluegrass Band. Among the other Van Halen song selections are "Hot for Teacher," "Dance the Night Away" and "Runnin' With the Devil."
