Nashville's Acoustic Community Celebrates Tsunami CD

Several of Nashville's most notable acoustic musicians celebrated the album release of Hands Across the Water -- a fundraiser for victims of the deadly 2004 tsunami -- on Tuesday morning (Jan. 10) in Nashville. Held at the ASCAP office, the release party featured collaborative performances from Alison Brown, John Cowan, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Jim Lauderdale, Tim O'Brien, Maura O'Connell, Jon Randall, Darrell Scott and co-producer Andrea Zonn. Rodney Crowell, Jerry Douglas, Vince Gill, John Prine and Mindy Smith also appear on the Compass Records project that pairs American artists with international musicians.
