Several of the biggest names in NASCAR will be in Nashville this weekend for Sound and Speed, a fan-oriented event that benefits Victory Junction Gang Camp, a nonprofit organization assisting children with chronic medical conditions, and charities of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The main events take place Saturday (Jan. 14) in downtown Nashville. George Jones and Richard Petty will highlight a series of interview sessions teaming country stars and drivers. Among the other interviews: Ray Stevens and Darrell Waltrip; George “Goober” Lindsey and Harry Gant; and Lee Greenwood and Terry Labonte. Dale Earnhardt Jr. and LeAnn Rimes are just two of the drivers and artists who will be paired during autograph sessions. Other participating artists include Diamond Rio, Darryl Worley, Jo Dee Messina, Trisha Yearwood, Ricky Skaggs and Vince Gill. Drivers at the event include Ryan Newman, Greg Biffle, Jamie McMurray, Bobby Labonte, Michael Waltrip, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards and Kyle Petty. The event closes with a concert featuring Montgomery Gentry, LeAnn Rimes and Keith Anderson.
