Miss America 2006 Brings in 3.1 Million Viewers

The 2006 Miss America Pageant brought in 3.1 million viewers for its live premiere on Saturday (Jan. 21) to become CMT’s most-watched telecast ever. The 2005 CMT Music Awards previously garnered 2.9 million viewers. CMT also beat all other ad-supported cable networks in total viewers for the first time in its history during the 8-10 p.m. time period. Including two rebroadcasts over the weekend, cumulative viewership of the pageant reached 12.5 million.
