My friend Fletcher Foster told me about this recipe his mother gave him. It did not sound tasty to me, but it is delicious.
1 bunch broccoli
1 small onion, chopped fine
1/2 cup raisins (we like more)
1/2 cup salad dressing
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
8 slices bacon cooked and chopped
Cut broccoli apart into small pieces. Add finely chopped onion and raisins. Store in a tightly closed container in the refrigerator for two hours or overnight. Combine salad dressing, sugar, vinegar and bacon for dressing. Add dressing just before serving.
