Since this delightful recipe doesn’t have a proper name, we named it Noodle Dish.
1 pound ground beef
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/2 cup onions (Green onions with tops are good.)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
4 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
8 ounces sour cream
1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
8 ounces small noodles
Cook beef until it loses its color. Pour off grease. Add onion, garlic, sugar, salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Allow to come to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Cook noodles according to package directions.
Stir cream cheese.
Preheat oven to 350°.
In a greased cooking dish, add 1/2 the noodles, 1/2 meat, 1/2 sour cream, 1/2 cream cheese. Repeat each layer. Top with grated cheddar cheese. Bake 20 minutes at 350°.
