George Jones remains signed to Bandit Records but is the subject of an upcoming tribute album from Category 5 Records, a new independent label. Last week, a publicist representing Category 5 issued a press release announcing Jones had joined the company's roster. Although Jones agreed to record one song for the tribute project, he has not exited Bandit, the label he co-founded in 2001.
