Record producer Keith Stegall, best known for his work with Alan Jackson, has been named chief creative office at Broken Bow Records, the Nashville-based label home to Jason Aldean, Craig Morgan and newcomer Megan Mullins. Concurrently, veteran music publisher and artist manager Alan Kates has been appointed chief operating office of the label and its Magic Mustang Music publishing company. Stegall, who has written or produced 40 No. 1 hits, had a career as a recording artist in the ’80s and as an executive at Mercury Records in the ’90s. He has also produced sessions for Terri Clark, Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, George Jones, Sammy Kershaw, Jamie O’Neal and Tracy Byrd. Stegall is co-producing Morgan’s next album with Phil O’Donnell.
