All net proceeds from Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s July 5 concert in New Orleans will be contributed to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in Louisiana and Mississippi. The couple recently founded the nonprofit Neighbors Keeper Foundation to assist organizations which are in need of goods, services and finances to assist individuals still suffering from the hurricane’s devastation. For the event at the New Orleans Arena, organizers have lowered the usual Soul2Soul II tour ticket prices to make the concert more affordable. Additionally, half of the floor seats at the concert will be distributed to volunteers who have worked to improve conditions along the Gulf Coast. In a written statement, the couple said, “We will not stop, we will not forget, we will not quit, until we see our friends, our families and our neighbors returned to the lives that they once knew. We hope to give everyone who comes out a few hours to just enjoy.” Tickets go on sale May 19.
