Old Crow’s New Album Set for Release in August

The young acoustic band Old Crow Medicine Show will release a new album, Big Iron World, on Aug. 29 on Nettwerk Records. David Rawlings produced the album. He is best known for his work with singer-songwriter Gillian Welch, who plays drums on four of Old Crow’s new tracks. Members of the band and Rawlings contributed most of the songs, though they also cover Woody Guthrie’s “Union Maid” and the Rolling Stones’ “Down Home Girl.” The band’s previous album, 2004’s O.C.M.S., sold more than 110,000 copies.
