The Bonnaroo music festival is currently underway in a field near Manchester, Tenn., about 70 miles southeast of Nashville. As in years past, the festival’s lineup draws heavily on buzz bands in the rock world but also includes artists from the country, bluegrass and Americana genres. Performers on Friday (June 16) included Robinella, Nickel Creek and Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder. Sunday (June 18) offers Jerry Douglas, Steve Earle, Bonnie Raitt and Shooter Jennings. Among the headliners are Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Radiohead. The four-day festival, which ends Sunday, sold out its 80,000 tickets in advance.
