Vegetable Dip

Hazel's Hot Dish Recipe of the Week

Prepare the veggie dip the night before. The next morning, prepare a roast, cut of beef, pork or chicken in your slow cooker. Plan to serve a side dish of fresh veggies using this wonderful, easy dip — fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green peppers, celery, carrots or whatever else you have from the fridge.

1 cup sour cream
2 cups mayonnaise
3/4 cups finely chopped onion
3/4 cup finely chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped pimento
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, onion, green pepper, pimento, salt, pepper, hot pepper sauce and garlic powder in a bowl. Stir to blend. Cover and chill overnight. Will keep two weeks but not at my house!
