Vernon Presley's Former Home Offered on eBay

A house in Memphis once owned by Elvis Presley's father will be auctioned on eBay by the same company that recently guided the similar sale of the singer's first home in Memphis for $1 million. Vernon Presley, who died in 1979, lived in the 3,300-square-foot home at 3650 Hermitage Drive from 1961 to 1965. Located a mile from Graceland, the property was purchased shortly after Elvis' discharge from the military and two years after the death of his mother, Gladys. When Elvis' future wife, Priscilla Beaulieu, moved to Memphis to be with him, she lived in the house while attending school. The auction, which begins Friday (Aug. 4) and continues through Sept. 3, is being offered by the Honky Tonk Hall of Fame LLC, an exhibit and memorabilia company.
