Kenny Chesney Unveils Short Film on CMT

Video for New Single, "You Save Me," Premieres Thursday

The most ambitious and dramatic video of Kenny Chesney's career will enjoy its world premiere Thursday (Aug. 10) during a special early morning telecast of CMT Top Twenty Countdown.

The video for "You Save Me" was filmed in Mexico and showcases the country music superstar in a revealing and never-before-seen physical and emotional character portrayal. Actress and model Vane Millon serves as Chesney's co-star and leading lady in the video. Like a scene out of a Hollywood love story, Chesney must choose between his dangerous lifestyle or his one true love.

The nine-minute film was directed by longtime Chesney collaborator Shaun Silva of Tacklebox Films. Their previous music video, "Who You'd Be Today," was named male video of the year at the 2006 CMT Music Awards.

"Kenny was an absolute surprise as far as his acting ability," Silva says. "We all know him as an artist and an incredible entertainer, but for him to be able to put on the acting hat and assume a character's role ... I couldn't be happier."

The video debuts exclusively on the special telecast of CMT Top Twenty Countdown at 6 a.m. ET/PT. It will encore in music hours throughout the day and be featured again in Top Twenty's regular time slot at 4 p.m. ET/PT. The video also bows Thursday on CMT Loaded at CMT.com, URGE (MTV Network's digital music service) and MHD: Music High-Definition (MTV Network's new high-definition network). Fans can preview a 30-second preview now on CMT Loaded at CMT.com or via CMT Mobile.

CMT Insider will feature an in-depth interview with Silva on this week's telecast premiering Saturday (Aug. 12) at 1:30 p.m. ET/PT. In addition, CMT also goes behind the scenes for a look at the creative process behind Chesney's new video when Making the Video: Kenny Chesney premieres Monday (Aug. 21) at 2 p.m. ET/PT.

"You Save Me" is the latest single from Chesney's double-platinum album, The Road and the Radio. His new 14-track concert album, Live Those Songs Again: Kenny Chesney Live, hits stores Sept. 19.
