Gretchen Wilson’s Debut Goes Quintuple Platinum

Gretchen Wilson’s debut album, Here for the Party, has been certified quintuple platinum, for shipments of 5 million copies. Singles from the album included “Redneck Woman,” the title track and “When I Think About Cheatin’.” Wilson’s first book, Redneck Woman — Stories From My Life, will be in bookstores on Tuesday (Oct. 31). In related news, she’ll sing “Heaven Help Me” on Good Morning America on Nov. 2. The song will be included on a DVD inside each book. On Nov. 3, she appears on Imus in the Morning, Live With Regis & Kelly, The Rachael Ray Show and 20/20.
