Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood Vie for People’s Choice Award

Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood have both been nominated for favorite female singer in the People’s Choice Awards to be held Jan. 9 in Hollywood. They are joined in the category by pop singer Shakira. Trace Adkins, Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith will compete for favorite male singer among all genres. Favorite country song contenders are Underwood’s “Before He Cheats,” Rascal Flatts’ “What Hurts the Most” and Tim McGraw’s “When the Stars Go Blue.” The special will air on CBS.
