Josh Gracin stepped in for Richie McDonald at a charity concert on Thursday night (Dec. 7) in Hidalgo, Texas, because McDonald was in Nashville recovering from a back injury. Gracin opened the South Texas Academic Rising Scholars concert with his own set, then returned to the stage to sing several of Lonestar's hits, including "Amazed," "Not a Day Goes By," "Smile" and "With Me." Gracin, who sang cover songs regularly as a finalist on American Idol, is expected to release a new album in early 2007.
