Squash Casserole

3 cups cooked squash
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 stick butter melted
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup grated cheese
1 stack Ritz crackers, crumbled

Preheat oven to 425°.

Cook onion with squash until both are tender. Drain. Add melted butter and soup. Add seasonings (salt, pepper and sugar). Pour into a casserole dish. Mix cheese and Ritz crackers and put on top of casserole. Bake at 425° for 20 minutes.
