Hank Williams Jr. Assault Case Dropped

A misdemeanor assault charge against Hank Williams Jr. has been dropped by the district attorney’s office in Memphis, Tenn. Holly Hornbeak, a 19-year-old waitress, alleged that Williams yelled obscenities and choked her while she was working in the bar of a Memphis hotel in 2006. He was staying in Memphis while his daughters recovered from serious injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Mississippi. District Attorney General Bill Gibbons has declined to specify whether an out-of-court settlement was reached between Williams and Hornbeak. Earlier this month, Williams filed for divorce from his fourth wife, Mary Jane, a former model he met following a concert in 1985. They married in 1990 and have two children together.
