McGraw, Vassar Perform for James Redford Institute

Tim McGraw, Phil Vassar and songwriter Rivers Rutherford performed Saturday (March 10) in Omaha, Neb., during Share the Beat, a fundraiser for the James Redford Institute for Transplant Awareness and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Redford, son of actor-director Robert Redford, underwent the first of two liver transplants at the hospital in 1993. The father and son attended the charity concert hosted by Desperate Housewives actor James Denton. Vassar’s songwriting credits include McGraw’s “My Next Thirty Years” and “For a Little While.” Rutherford co-wrote McGraw’s 2003 single, “Real Good Man.”
