Nashville Resident Is First Music City Madness Winner

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Stephanie Beck Williams is the winner of Music City Madness, CMT's first online talent search inviting fans to create and produce original music videos. More than 600 entries were received, and 64 finalists were posted online where fans voted in a head-to-head video competition. Williams, born in Texas and raised in Biloxi, Miss., won for her original song and video, "D.R.U.N.K." The song chronicles the desperate cry of a woman in her quest to be perfect. She got the idea for the title of her song by being a mother and having to spell out words her children should not hear. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Williams performed in a traveling all-girl trio, Southern Dolls. Now living in Nashville, she owns the Wilhelmina Dan Modeling Agency and is working on a CD titled Not Your Normal Country Girl. As the winner of Music City Madness, Williams will visit CMT's Nashville studio to record an episode Studio 330 Sessions, CMT Loaded's online performance series.
