Josh Turner Gets Bling-Bling at Double-Platinum Party

Josh Turner accepted a plaque for the double-platinum certification of his second album, Your Man, on Tuesday afternoon (April 24) at a private party in the Nashville Arena. Your Man is only the third country album released in 2006 to ship more than 2 million copies, joining Rascal Flatts’ Me and My Gang and the Dixie Chicks’ Taking the Long Way. Turner’s singles from the album include “Your Man,” “Would You Go With Me” and “Me and God.” Admiring the plaque, Turner said, “I guess that’s what they mean when they say ’bling-bling.'” He also spoke at length about the Josh Turner Fund for the Arts, which helps put music programs back into schools.
