Dierks Bentley Sings Non-Hits for Fan Club

Dierks Bentley relied on a series of his hand-picked album tracks during a performance at his fan club party at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville on Wednesday night (June 6). Noting his personal favorites are usually the same songs mentioned repeatedly on his message boards, Bentley opened his hour-long show with "Wish It Would Break," followed by "Distant Shore," "So So Long," "Soon as You Can," "Trying to Stop Your Leaving," "My Love Will Follow You," "Bartenders, Etc." and "Domestic, Light and Cold." Bentley also brought his dogs Jake and George (a new addition) as his warm-up act. After talking for a few minutes about the connection with his fans, Bentley said he was inspired by Darryl Worley's recent Playgirl spread and decided to strip for his fans. He then took off his shoes and his jeans to reveal ... another pair of jeans. Later in the set, he played a few hits and screened an off-the-wall video for his new single, "Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)," which was filmed exclusively for the fan club party. Another video version of the song is scheduled to debut on CMT Top 20 Countdown on June 14.
