The 2007 CMA Music Festival set a new aggregate attendance record of 191,154 to become the most successful year in the event’s history. The figure, up from last year’s aggregate attendance of 161,000, averages out to almost 48,000 people per day purchasing tickets to the event that took place Thursday through Sunday (June 6-10) in downtown Nashville. Most attendees bought four-day passes for the event, and sales of those four-day packages were up 20 percent over last year. Sales of single tickets for the nightly concert series at LP Field increased 14 percent. Tickets went on sale Saturday (June 9) for the next 2008 CMA Music Festival, scheduled June 5-8, 2008. Four-day “gold circle” tickets — priced at $275 — sold out in 90 minutes. Other four-day ticket packages are priced as low as $110.
