Miranda Lambert Receives Proclamation in Texas

Miranda Lambert received a framed copy of a resolution from the Texas House of Representatives during a Wednesday (June 20) ceremony in her hometown of Lindale, Texas. In making the presentation, State Rep. Tommy Merritt referred to Lambert as “yet another of the inspired musicians to hail from the Lone Star State.” The proclamation, issued in May, cites Lambert’s career successes, including her current status as the Academy of Country Music’s top new female vocalist. Lambert is on the road this summer as part of Toby Keith’s Big Dog Daddy tour.
