Pecan Pie

Hazel's Hot Dish Recipe of the Week

Pecan pie sans syrup — you’ll like it.

1 stick butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1-pound box brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 450°.

Melt butter. Beat eggs lightly. Stir flour with sugar. Add to eggs and beat. Add melted butter, pecans and vanilla. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 350° and bake 20 minutes until firm. Makes two pies.
