Kimberly Roads of Little Big Town and husband Stephen Schlapman welcomed the arrival of their first child, daughter Daisy Pearl, on Friday (July 27) in Phoenix while the band was on tour. Weighing 6 pounds 10 ounces, the baby arrived three weeks earlier than anticipated. Bandmates Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet accompanied Roads and her husband to the hospital before traveling to Las Vegas to perform a concert as a trio. "It was the first time we have ever done a show without all four of us," Westbrook said. "This is a special situation, and we all decided that's what needed to be done. We only have a few shows left on the tour, and we just didn't want to disappoint the fans. We can't even tell you how much we are missing Kimberly and, of course, little Daisy." After closing the tour on Aug. 5 in Boise, Idaho, Little Big Town will return to Nashville to begin working on their new album that's scheduled to be released this fall.
