Cody Collins Named Lonestar's Lead Singer

The group Lonestar has named Cody Collins to succeed Richie McDonald as the band's lead singer and has signed with the Cracker Barrel Old Country store restaurant chain to be the exclusive distributor of its new album, My Christmas List. The recently-recorded CD showcases Collins' vocals and will go on sale in early November. Cracker Barrel will also sponsor Lonestar's impending Christmas tour. It, too, starts in November. In March, McDonald announced plans to leave the band by the end of 2007 to concentrate on a solo career. According to his MySpace page, Collins has been based in Woodstock, Ga., a community located north of Atlanta.
